Kate Middleton Squashed All Pregnancy Rumors With A Guinness On St. Patrick’s Day

In case you were wondering, Kate Middleton is not pregnant. At least, that’s what we can assume since yesterday when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the 1st Battalion Irish Guards at Cavalry Barracks in Hounslow, England, where they celebrated St Patrick’s Day. While there, Kate, who wore a bespoke, emerald green coat from Alexander McQueen and an adorable golden shamrock pin, had a sip of Guinness.

Last year, when Kate and Prince William visited, the Duchess was pregnant with Prince Louis and had a glass of water instead of the traditional pint. Recently, tabloids have been speculating that Kate might be pregnant with the couple’s fourth royal baby. Well, the rumor mill has been shut down now that Kate enjoyed a beer with the rest of the guests at the St Patrick’s Day celebration.

The gossip was no doubt fueled by the media’s obsession with creating a rivalry between the very pregnant Meghan and Kate. For now, the spotlight is still firmly on the Duchess of Sussex, who is expected to give birth this spring. For further proof that Kate is not expecting, you just need to look at her latest public appearances where she has looked as thin and in shape as ever.

This is not the first time Kate has shut down pregnancy rumors by having a sip of alcohol. In 2014, during the royal couple’s tour of Australia and New Zealand, William and Kate enjoyed wine at a vineyard in Queensland, New Zealand. At the time, there was speculation that Kate was expecting her second baby.

The pregnancy rumor was started after a stop on the couple’s tour of Northern Ireland. When William and Kate met with the crowd, she stopped to comment on a young boy she saw. After telling the father that he seemed very sweet, she added, “He’s so diddy it makes me very broody.” Broody is a British word that a woman is having pregnancy yearnings.

It wouldn’t be surprising though if Kate announced she was expecting later this year though. In December, she revealed that she was looking forward to her children having another playmate. During a visit to Leicester University, she said, “It’s such a special time to all have kiddies. And a cousin for George and Charlotte as well, and Louis. So it will be really special.”
